Alex Kolker

Dr. Alex Kolker is an Associate Professor at the Louisiana Universities Marine Consortium. He is a geological oceanographer who studies coastal systems, and the way that climate and people impact the ways that coasts function and change. He has studied systems across the Atlantic Ocean from Morocco and the maritime maghreb, to the east and gulf coasts of the United States. Dr. Kolker received his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from Stony Brook University- State University of New York.
